Doctor Doom - Villain With Style

In order to prepare you for Fantastic Four #5, here is a quick introduction to the greatest supervillain of all time, Doctor Doom.

Just in case you haven't already figured out that he's a bad guy from the name, have gander at these:

Owns a vulture for no particular reason.

Has a helicopter with a shark's face.

Has a pet tiger.

Says "Bah!" and shakes fist at accursed do-gooders.

Possesses fool-proof getaway plan.

My brother had a cool t-shirt of Doctor Doom when we were little. He rocks!

(I didn't really like him in the recent Fantastic Four movie though...)

Doctor Doom wasn't even in the latest Fantastic Four movie. McMahon could have done a decent job if the character even remotely resembled the one from the comics, but instead we got a lame retread of Norman Osborn from the Spider-Man films.

I decided against seeing the movie of the FF. Looked far too overdone, too much like they wanted to appeal to "cool" and "hip" people rather than give us nerds what we want.

Apart from an unrecognisable Doctor Doom, and the complete lack of a coherent plot, it wasn't too bad. Michael Chiklis was good as Ben Grimm, as was whatsisface as Johnny. Gruffudd did a serviceable Reed (it got about half of the character right) and of course Jessica Alba appeared in the near-nude. I enjoyed it as a light piece of fluff.
