BACK IN THE SADDLE
August 28th 2007 06:20
Hello there Nerdites and Nerdettes, it's me. Who, I hear you ask? Just me, the actual maintainer of this blog, from back in the dim dark days when it was actually updated. Ask your grandparents, one of them might remember me!
The reasons for my absence are legion, but can be condensed down to one word - marriage. Weddings require money, and comics require money, and one had to go. Much to my dismay it was the comics, and so I have spent the last six months in a state of permanent withdrawal, experiencing the good old four-colour DTs.
But hark, there is a light at the tunnel's end! With an honest for-real job and no massive expenses to be incurred in the near future, I'm buying comics again. Not as many as I had been, but a few - mostly just the core X-Men titles. So that means I'll be updating again! Not as much as I'd like, unfortunately - I don't have internet access at home yet. And the content will have to be different as well. I no longer have easy access to a scanner, so my cheap mocking of old-school panels will have to fall by the wayside for the nonce. Mostly it will be reviews, and general thoughts and irrelevant absurdity.
Oh, and I've noticed that I seem to have more readers than I did six months ago! Which means that my readership grew *while I wasn't posting*. Will the flood of new content drive them away? Only time will tell!
