OUT OF CONTEXT HILARITY Part I
March 24th 2007 09:52
It's the height of cheap humour to take panels from old comic books out of context - but let it never be said that I am above a cheap gag. And so, I present this gem from Reed Richards, scientific genius, who is piloting a craft designed to shrink to microscopic size:
REED RICHARDS: "It's propelled by the speed of its own shrinkage, Ben!"
Of course, Mr. Fantastic. I'm sure it is.

you probably know about this already (i have a feeling i'm going to read back and feel like a dolt because there'll be some long post about it...) but just in case i'm wrong, i think you'd like this: http://www.ep.tc/intro.html
it's an incredible archive of old comics (among other things) - the AA comics and drug propaganda stuff are my favourites (check out Hooked! (1966) ) but horribly racist WW2 comics put out by the american government and atom-bomb hysteria make for great reading too)
enjoy!

And yes, the Batman 'boner' issue is pretty funny.
